Travel Clinic

Traveling soon? Do you want to avoid becoming ill during your trip? The Campus Health Center has a Travel Clinic by appointment only on Monday mornings 8:00 - 12:00 and Wednesday afternoons 12:30 - 4:00. Other appointments available as needed. This clinic is available every week throughout the school year, and also in the summer on a limited basis. A registered nurse, with specialized training in travel immunizations and medical advice, can meet with you and discuss your individual needs. She has up to date information for travel anywhere in the world, including information on safe food and water practices, ways to avoid dangerous insect bites, altitude considerations and how to access health care in other parts of the world. The prices for the immunizations are very favorable when compared to getting them elsewhere, and the visit to the nurse is available for all students, staff and faculty (and their spouses). Just call (951) 827-3031 to set up a $20 travel consultation and stay well on your next trip. Remember that it sometimes requires a series of shots for complete immunity, so start your consultation as early as you can, so they can be completed on time.
